A Day for a Hike

 Yesterday we went hiking at Antelope Island! We went with Michelle, Jeff and Jeff's little sister Carolyn. It was a ton of fun. It was an intense hike with lots of mud because the snow was melting. As you can see from the pics it was nasty hazy. The temperature was perfect. We all got burnt which is crazy but we were in the sun for a good couple of hours! We hiked up and took lunch with us. We stopped at the top of a peak and ate some lunch. We didn't go the whole way on the trail because it kept getting muddier! I enjoy hiking and it is a good workout! Next time we need to bring Oak she loves hiking! :) One happy note! I have been working out since the first of the year and I was able to fit in some pants I haven't been able to for a couple of years! Whoot Whoot! :)

Anyway, here are a couple of pics from our day and I can't wait for more hiking weather! Bring on Spring and summer yay!!! Today is beautiful as well. I might just have to take little Oak for a walk!

40th Anniversary

Yesterday was my parents 40th Anniversary!!! I think it is one of the greatest things ever! They are such a good example and I hope Ben and I can reach well over 40 one day!! I had Rachel make this card for them and I mailed to family and friends! I also made a banner to put on their house! Us kids got together and had a little party for them. They are the best and I hope they had an amazing anniversary! Love you mom and dad!!

 

Valentines Day

 Valentines day is still so much fun for us because we are able to spoil each other before we have kiddos! :) I know it is such a overrated holiday but it is still fun at the same time. We spent the night at home and made some yummy Hawaiian chicken in the crock pot! I hate going out to eat because it is a nightmare!! I love my man so much and he spoils me to death. I am so lucky to have someone like him in my life! We hope everyone else had such a great day as well :)

 I got flowers, a teddy bear and some chocolates sent to me at work :). I also got some new nail polish colors and a new watch! I love me some watches for sure they are my new love :) He also got me some cadbury eggs! mmmmmmmmm they are the best thing about Easter time hahah and I got some early :)

I did a 14 days of Valentines for Ben that of course I found on Pinterest. I didn't take a pic of everything but he really enjoyed it. There was something waiting for him everyday he got home from work. He also what is called a lower for a gun. He wants to build his own gun so we bought him one and he is so excited to get the rest of the parts to build what he wants!

I made these little babies as well and they are delish!!! I made them for my co-workers at work and they all loved them. They were a hit. I got this idea off of Pinterest as well. :) seriously the person that invented it is the best person ever. That website is going to make me and awesome mom one day too hahaha :)

End of the month

Boy have we been busy! Not with anything too fun but we have been busy! I started a new job and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! I honestly couldn't work at a better place! :) AMAZING!!!

January is a busy month for birthdays which is always fun! We have lots of them! :) This month was definately a growing one for me and I couldn't be happier or in a better place!!

I can't believe tomorrow is February! Where does the time go for real! I swear in a blink of an eye I will be 70 tomorrow!

Here is one picture of our dog doing her thing! Ben has been taking her chukar hunting with his uncles. It has been great for Oakie as well as Ben! They both love it!!

New Beginnings

I am so excited for the new year. This last week was kinda chill. I didn't work because I didn't have a job. I was able to get a lot of things done however! I was able to hang out with family as well and just have a good time. I am super excited because I start my new job tomorrow. I can't wait!! The people are amazing and it is a good change for me! I can't wait to see what is in store!!

We haven't been up to too much. Just relaxing and spending time with family. I am so grateful for everyone who has been so supportive of me through this rough patch I have gone through!! We have lots of birthdays coming up and some that have passed. This year is definitely going to be the best!! :)

Ringing in the New Year

We had a great time bringing in the New Year. The Selin's had a party at their house with great friends and family. We had yummy food and played games. Everyone did a lot of Just Dance with the Wii! It was fun to watch. We were lame and didn't dance but it was fun to watch everyone else. It was great way to bring in the new year with amazing friends!!!

The best thing that happened all night is right at midnight Michelle and Jeff got engaged!!! It was so amazing I am beyond excited for them. They are such a great couple and are so good for each other! :) Her ring is gorgeous!! I am so so so so so HAPPY for them and can't wait for their big day!!! I love Michelle so much and couldn't ask for a better best friend. She is THE best and I am so glad she is getting such a great man to complete her.

 

We hope everyone else had a great new years with loved ones!!! I can't wait for what is in store for 2012!!!

Last day

This past Friday the 30th was my last day working for the bank. I have a lot of good memories from there. It is just time for a change and I can't wait for a new one. I am so grateful for all the friendships I made. I have some really good friends from there. This is a picture from the NSL branch I was over. They are so sweet and decorated the desk I use there! I will miss everyone but cannot wait for new beginnings 2012 will have!! :)
